We have now exchanged for summer 2017 but are open to offers for May half term (27th May to 5th June - would love to get to Scotland - Edinburgh).
Open plan living in a comfortable first floor apartment, well suited for families, in an area voted 'Best Neighbourhood in the UK' by RIBA. Our building is in 'The Yard', an award winning self-build site, with its communal garden areas and quiet road, bordered by a nature reserve, allotments and a railway line.
Our first floor apartment home is part of a building we converted from a 1960s office block into 6 comfortable apartments, ground floor work units and a well-used community space (Wildgoose Space http://www.wildgoosespace.org.uk/) which runs daily classes in yoga, pilates etc. At the front, our living space looks out over the central green (which everyone can use) and a quiet private road.
At the back, we enjoy direct access via our balcony into our steeply sloping 'woodland-edge' garden, with it's rope swings and apple trees - ideal for adventurous children. The city centre is not far away, but we enjoy a real sense of proximity to nature, with squirrels, foxes, sparrowhawks, owls and the odd badger all visiting us.
Our apartment consists of a spacious, open-plan kitchen, diner and lounge. Double doors open on to the balcony from which we have direct access to the garden. We have one family bathroom and an ensuite toilet / shower room off the master bedroom. There are two other bedrooms, one with bunkbeds and the other with a single bed and an additional single bed that can be pulled out and set up if needed (as two singles, or a double). We have a private parking space for one car directly outside the front of the flat. Access to the apartment is through a side gate into the private garden which is for the sole use of residents of the apartments.
