Renew your HomeLink membership
Note: Some members have
recently experienced difficulties with their home swapping arrangements, due
to allowing their membership to lapse prior to the actual home swap
Whilst there is no requirement to renew each year, it is wise to maintain current status, even if you've already arranged a home swap for the coming year.
Simply, you will not receive customer assistance from the HomeLink Organisers in other countries if you allow your membership to lapse. Many international Organisers also advise their members NOT to continue with a home swap with a member whose membership lapses. Why? If one party is not a current member, then both parties lose the protection of conducting a valid home swap under the HomeLink International umbrella.
For your protection and that of other members, it is best to maintain current membership status, even if you have confirmed your holiday plan for the coming year.
