Our Victorian house is 100 metres from the beach and 20 mins walk into the main town. 90 minutes from London and 40 from bustling Brighton!
We have a courtyard garden as well as the beach just down the road. Local parks are lovely and the closest is 200m away. One of Eastbourne's main attractions (apart from the sea) are the Downs. These are the rolling hills and cliffs which Eastbourne sits within and provide great views as well as local walks and plenty of country pubs!
Eastbourne gets busier in the summer, there's the annual airshow, Llammas pagan festivals, bandstand concerts, the skate festival, Morris dancing and the french markets amongst many others. There are numerous medieval villages just around the corner and the rail and road links to towns like Lewes, Rye, Battle and Hastings are very good. Local castles include Bodium, Herstmonceux and Pevensey as well as Michelham Priory and Battle Abbey.
